Year 2012 is bound to become another historic year for Shenglin Financial in terms of sales growth, according to president and chief executive Xian Shenglin who made the announcement at the company’s year-end review meeting on Dec. 14.

Mr. Xian disclosed that four financial advisers of the company have entered the exclusive “Million-Dollar-Round-Table (MDRT) club by meeting the industry’s qualifying sales standards. He predicted that more members of the company’s sales team will earn the coveted title in 2013.

At the year-end meeting, Vice President Wallace Wang made a brief review of the passing year, during which he said the company achieved breakthroughs in sales and recruitment. On the same occasion, Ted Onceanu, director of corporate development, extended greetings to Shenglin Financial on behalf of London Life for the company’s outstanding performance in 2012.

The meeting heard a featured speech from Amy Chen, the company’s 2012 sales champion, who spoke on the topic of “Reflections and Gratitude.” She spilled the beans about how she realized her dream of becoming a member of MDRT, a dream that had eluded her before she joined Shenglin Financial three years ago. So, she was grateful to Mr. Xian for his patient coaching, and to Wallace Wang and her co-workers for their help and guidance.

Above all, she stressed the importance of diligence in any pursuit, citing an axiom from Tang dynasty essayist Han Yu who said “career is perfected by diligence and wasted by idling.” It is therefore important to be focused, not to be distracted by trivial matters, she advised.

The meeting was followed by a luncheon at the fashionable Asian Legend restaurant, during which the participants continued their discussion and shared their experiences in high spirit while enjoying the fruit of their collective success.
